To connect these compositions, Matt Kidd (Slow\r\nMeadow) composed new segues\/crossfades from song to song, allowing\r\nthe pieces to be experienced in one cohesive and harmonious flow.\r\nFrom Marc Weidenbaum's \"Disquiet\" review: \"Slow Meadow's new\r\nalbum, 'By the Ash Tree', opens with cascades of delays and proceeds\r\nthrough three tracks of reflective piano\". The title track of \"By the Ash\r\nTree\" is one of Slow Meadow's most popular and enduring\r\ncompositions.\r\n\"Upstream Dream\" was composed around the time of 2019's Happy\r\nOccident. Soft electronics, bearing otherworldly tones and, at times, a\r\nsense of playful mischief, subtly shift expectations and bring discovery\r\nand wonder at every turn. It bookends a period of creative output that\r\nintroduced Kidd's vision of calming and meditative ambient music. With\r\na foundation of piano, string orchestration, and an ever-evolving\r\nelectronic palette, Slow Meadow traverses the borders of neoclassical\r\nand minimalist electronics and delivers a deeply personal and\r\ntransportive experience that speaks directly to the ebbs and flows and\r\nmundanity and marvels of life.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Alliance Entertainment","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":63591291584842,"sku":"1661706305501","price":9.45,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1066\/3162\/7082\/files\/4358526-3204337.jpg?v=1789722636","url":"https:\/\/1ff90w-hd.myshopify.com\/products\/slow-meadow-by-the-ash-tree-upstream-dream-grey-vinyl","provider":"My Store 2","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
